about

The synthesizer sound at the end is evocative of a rising and dropping pulse just before exhalation, bringing to mind the final moments of a dying person's life. In this final instant, memories flood back, painting a vivid picture of our past as we embark on one final journey, soaring towards an unknown destination.

This song was inspired by Jonny Greenwood and I wanted to write something that would infuse it with a strong energy that would drive it forward. The song that came to mind is Serenity by Jacques Greene. It takes me on a high-speed journey through unknown territory. I think of sci-fi movies and wanted a song that had that kind of energy, that would take the listener to someplace they've never been before, but that feels familiar. I want a drumbeat that is more complex than usual, but not too complicated and able to loop throughout the song. The guitar riff is played through a distorted and delayed sound that sounds like a violin staccato, combining with each other and the percussion sound to create a groove that completes the song. This song is designed as an electronic music that blends in the organic feel, which is designed to make you dance and feel like flying at the same time.
